Steps for Halal Certification
Application and initial evaluation
The process begins when the interested company completes the application form. In this step, information is collected about the organization, products, and processes requiring certification. Once the information is reviewed, the proposal is submitted with the terms of service, and the commercial agreement is signed, including payment of the corresponding fees.
Documentation and contract
After accepting the proposal, the client must submit the required documentation, including the signed contract and the commitment to proper use of the Halal trademark. In addition, additional information on ingredients, raw materials, packaging materials, and manufacturing processes may be requested in order to assess their traceability and compliance with Halal regulations.
On-site audit
An on-site audit is scheduled at the production facilities. This includes a complete inspection of the storage, production, packaging, and shipping areas, as well as a review of the company's Halal management system. The auditor may request adjustments if deviations or non-conformities are observed.
Final review and certification
Once the audit is completed, the technical report is evaluated by the Certification Committee. If everything meets the established requirements, the Halal Certificate is issued. This official document validates that the products and processes have been evaluated and comply with internationally accepted Halal standards.
